How can I find the product code to order a product?
On our products:
If you see an item in store and would like to order it online, check the swing tag, ticket or packaging for the style code or Unique Product Code (UPC).
All clothing and homeware products have a style code, for clothing this will also been on the sewn-in label.
Look for a 3-digit code beginning with a 'T'. You will need this, along with the last 4 digits e.g. T41/2344. This makes up the style code.
Flowers, food and wine have a Unique Product Code (UPC), an 8-digit number beginning with 0 which can be found on the packaging.
You can find the product code at the top of the product page, underneath the product title. This will always begin with a T.
In our publications:
In our Magazine and catalogues, all featured items will have a reference number shown in brackets. Clothing and homeware have style codes that begin with a 'T'. Food, flowers and wine have Unique Product Codes (UPCs) which are 8-digit numbers starting with 0.
Once you have the style code or UPC simply type this into the search bar (at the top left-hand corner) and press 'go'.
In the press:
When M&S products are featured in the press, there may not be a style number or UPC listed however you can still search online for the product. For example, if you had seen some red flat shoes in a magazine you could follow the steps below. Alternatively you could use the search bar in the top left-hand corner, in this case you would search 'red shoes'.
1. Move your mouse over the 'Women' category on the homepage bar so that further options show.
2. Under the 'Shoes and sandals' heading, click the relevant filter, or 'All shoes and sandals'
3. You can then filter the results on the left-hand side, in this case you would filter by colour.
Please note that press often feature products ahead of launch, if you cannot find the product then please check again at a later date.
