What is the difference between a gift card, an e-gift card and a gift voucher?

Gift Cards
Gift cards are credit card sized cards which can be loaded or topped up with values of between £1 and £500, to spend with M&S online or in store. They are valid for 24 months from the last transaction ('transactions' include balance enquiries). They can be ordered to be sent directly to your recipient as a gift.
Gift cards can be used as part or full payment online using the 16 digit card number and 5 digit pin, or in store using the bar code.

E-Gift Cards

E-gift cards are an electronic version of our M&S gift cards which can be loaded or topped up with values between £10 and £500, to spend with M&S online or in store. They are valid for 24 months from the last transaction ('transactions' include balance enquiries). They can be ordered to be directly to your recipient as a gift or to yourself - all you need is a valid email address. E-gift cards can be used as part or full payment online using the 16-digit card number and 5-digit PIN, or in store by printing out the e-gift card and using the bar code on the print-out.

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are paper vouchers in Sterling denominations of £1, £5, £10 and £25 and can only be used in store using the bar code.
