What is the returns policy for kitchen electrical goods?

If you have purchased your appliance in store, please retain your till or gift receipt which is your proof of purchase. For online purchases, your proof of purchase is the parcel summary enclosed with your item when delivered.

All requests for refunds/exchanges or returns should be dealt with by calling 0333 014 8426 first and speaking to our dedicated M&S Electricals Team, who will advise you on your best course of action and, if appropriate, issue a returns authorisation number (RAN). 

Our store staff are not able to process any returns, refunds or exchanges without a valid RAN. 

Marks & Spencer’s normal customer goodwill returns policy does not apply. If you have a valid proof of purchase, we are happy to provide an exchange (if available) or refund (to the payment card, or in credit
vouchers if you have a gift receipt) for this item in the following circumstances only:
1. The item must be returned with the tamper seal intact and the packaging in “resalable” condition.
2. Prior to return, you must telephone 0333 014 8426 and obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN).
3. Once a RAN is obtained, the return or exchange must be completed within 30 days of the original date of purchase (in store) or dispatch (online).

If the tamper seal has been broken (in store purchases only) or, you wish to return the item more than 30 days from purchase (instore) or dispatch (online), a refund will not be available. This policy does not affect any legal rights to a repair or replacement that you may have after that time - see below.

If you purchased your item online (and not in store) then, within 14 days of the date of receipt of the item, you may cancel the contract with us and return the goods to us, so as to obtain a refund. In those circumstances only, the packaging may be unsealed to allow for inspection, but the item should not be used.

In the unlikely event of a fault, or if you wish to return the item for any other legal reason (such as it does not fit the description given to it on the packaging (in store) or website (online), you will be offered a refund, repair or replacement within 30 days of purchase (instore) or dispatch (online). In the same circumstances, after 30 days, you will be offered the option of a repair or replacement (subject to product availability) in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty. In any event, please call 0333 014 8426 and speak to our dedicated M&S Electricals Team, who will advise you on your best course of action and, if appropriate, issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN). Our store staff are not able to process any returns/exchanges or refunds without a valid RAN.

Your electrical appliance has a manufacturer’s warranty. Full details of the warranty and how to register it are contained within the item’s packaging.

The manufacturer’s warranty and this Refund Policy do not affect your legal rights.
